The Study On The Phonology And Evolution Of The Urban-dialect In Wuzhou City

The Urban-Dialect of Wuzhou belongs to Guangfu-Cantonese,which is very close to the standard cantonese,Guangzhou-Dialect,and retains a lot of traces of early Guangfu-Cantonese from the perspective of phonological comparison.At present,the research on the Urban-Dialect of Wuzhou is very few.This paper made a field investigation of the Urban-Dialect and the suburban Changzhou Town dialect,obtained three homophone-tables of the old accent and the new accent in the Urban-Dialect and the Changzhou-Dialect,and combining with the homophone-table made by Yang zhenhai,compared the phonetics of the Urban-Dialect in different periods in detail,and came to some conclusions about the phonetic evolution of the Urban-Dialect and the overall evolution of Guangfu-Cantonese phonology.It is hoped that this paper can provide help for the in-depth study of the phonological evolution of Wuzhou dialect and Guangfu-Cantonese.This paper is divided into 6 chapters.Chapter 1 introduces the geography,history and language of Wuzhou City,summarizes the significance and research status of this paper,and explains the source of corpus and the related situation of dialect investigation.Chapter 2 describes the phonological system of the Urban-Dialect,and gives a brief explanation of the phonological differences between the old accent and the new accent.Chapter 3 is an exhaustive comparison of the Yang’s,the old accent and the new accent voice,which is also the most important and most core part of this paper.This chapter is divided into two sections,Section 1 compares the different-pronunciations between the Yang’s,the old accent and the new school voices,and section 2 compares the differences between the Yang’s,the old accent and the new accent other-pronunciations,both listing all the differences.Chapter 4 analyzes the phonetic evolution of the Urban-Dialect based on the middle node,the evolution of the old accent voices,divided into two sections in chronological order.Section 1 analyzes the development of the Yang’s voice in the old accent,and section 2 analyzes the new development of the new accent voice.The evolution of these two sections is mainly the change of phonology,which can be directly found from the comparison of homophone-table.Chapter 5 is the analysis of the evolution except Chapter 4 listed,which can not be directly found from the comparison of homophone-tables,including the increase of inflection-pronunciations and the evolution of Initials Xi,Xiao and Xia.The evolution of Initials Xi,Xiao and Xia is not only the problem of the Urban-Dialect,but also the important research direction of the whole Guangfu-Cantonese.Chapter 6 is the conclusion part,which is the summary of the whole paper.It not only analyzes the conclusion of this paper,but also acknowledges the shortcomings of this paper.
