Adorno's "commitment " theory pays attention to the quality of art's self-discipline and negativity, intervened in reality in a uncommitted way, which is the most significant difference from the traditional "intervention" theory.Art "commitment" not only stays at the level of realistic criticism, but also explores the way of aesthetic redemption. This paper mainly expounds adorno's theory of "comitment" from the following three aspects. The first is the philosophical basis of Adorno's theory of “comitment”,Adorno believed that the traditional political intervention was based on the philosophy of identity, the whole concept of unity constrains the heterogeneity and non-identity of things. This paved the way for the repression of instrumental rationality.Artistic “commitment” is precisely in the focus on non-identity and heterogenity that against the philosophy of identity.Secondly,in the face of the prevailing political intervention in literat ure,the decadence of cultural industry and the repression of instrumental reason,Adorno belived tha art was necesssary to intervene. The aesthetic self-displine of art is used to clear up the reality dominated by instrumental rationality. This is also the way that art “commitment” provides people with salvation. When the traditional political and economic salvation has been unable to meet people's inner needs, religious redemption loses its psychological basis, aesthetic redemption awakens the subject consciousness hunman's deep mind.Finaly, summarized and evaluated Adorno's theory of “commitment”,Adorno's “comitment” is based on aesthetic self-displine,provided a new way for art intervention in the real world, which had a profound influence on theorists then and later. But we should also see the utopian side of his theory,we should also think, when the reality in his eyes is in a muddy, can the literature and art with the mission of intervention and redemption be immune?...
