In the 18 th century,Gluck's opera reform caused a sensation in the music industry.As the earliest work which embodies Gluck's reform ideas,?Orfeo?has a high research value.The third act,?Che farò senza Euridice ?,is an aria in Orpheo and Euridice,which is also a widely circulated vocal work.It is a classic in the opera.This thesis summarizes the domestic and foreign literatures on the study of Gluck's opera reform.First,it starts with Gluck's life and other opera reforms.Secondly,it offers a brief introduction to the creative background and story line of Akane for his first reformed opera,?Orfeo?.Finally,the emotional and musical analysis of the aria ?Che farò senza Euridice?,and the analysis of singing the work by different voices are discussed,as well as the singer's practice.The purpose of writing this thesis is to have a deeper understanding when singing,and meanwhile,to provide a reference for the singer who is learning this work.
