The Study On "X?" Adverbs In Modern Chinese

The main subjects of study for this article are 11�X?�adverbs(Including�????????????????????????????????�)which are used in modern Chinese.We discuss the characteristics of them from the syntactic,semantics and pragmatics based on corpus.First of all,this paper discusses the syntactic features of the adverbs �X ?�: describing their main function of which is as adverbial,the structural features of the modified predicates and their connection with other adverbs,and also discussing the syntactic features of �?�sentences and�?�sentences and the sentences with consecutive predicates.Secondly,we describe the �X ?�adverbs in terms of semantic features and semantic orientation.Based on the structure of "NP+X ? +VP",we describe the semantic features of the adverbs of "NP","V" and "X ?" respectively.At the same time,we analyze the semantic orientation of 11 "X ?" adverbs from two different ways.Finally,We analyze the pragmatic function of �X ?�adverbs.We discuss respectively the stylistic and linguistic distribution of different adverbs,and describe the presuppositions of some�X ?� adverbs and the role of �X ?�adverbs in mood.
