The theme of literary text is the aesthetic consciousness which is fused into the artistic image.The research on the theme of literary works is the research on the aesthetic cognition and aesthetic value embodied in the writer's observation of life,reflection of life and creation of artistic image.The research on the theme of the writer's creation will help to grasp the writer's creation track and aesthetic orientation,and provide useful reference for the growth of the writer and the maturity of his creation.Xu Zechen's literary creation is fruitful and has won awards frequently.He is praised as the leader of post-70 writers in China by critics.This paper studies Xu Zechen's creation by means of text reading and comparative study.The first chapter focuses on Xu Zechen's works about his hometown "Flower Street" before and after the turn of the century.In the theme,it can be divided into the painful growth of the disillusioned youth ideal,the passive growth of peeping into the adult world and the redemption growth of collective reflection and confession.Through the creation of a series of children's images,the work eulogizes the truth,goodness and beauty of the hometown,and condenses the author's artistic expression of realism,goodness and beauty.It is the writer's contribution to the writing of the theme of artistic growth.The second chapter mainly discusses in the narrative context of "leaving the country to invest in the city" and "leaving the city to return home",the author has created a series of images of "marginal people" under the conditions of coming to Beijing to fight with beautiful vision,living in no fixed place,identity being in suspense,etc.The types of these images can be divided into three types: striving for the promotion of social class,accompanying with women and seeking self-reliance.The theme of the works reflects that: the ladder of social stratum promotion is the academic degree,ability and contribution of the striver to obtain real talent;the "marginal person" must march under the framework of laws and regulations for the career choice representing his own social stratum.The third chapter mainly studies Xu Zechen's focus and perspective on the absurd life in the real society,and makes reflection and criticism on the artistic expression of literary aesthetics.The theme of his works reveals the absurdity of life based on: theabsurdity of man's fate,which is manifested in the struggle between ideal and reality;the absurdity of human nature,which is manifested in the paradox between self and ID;the absurdity of the plot,which is manifested in the game between paradox and common sense.As far as the relationship between the creation of absurd images and the reflection of social life is concerned,the absurdity of characters' fate is often the result of the absurdity and distortion of social human nature,and the narrative of absurd theme is deeply displayed through the absurdity plot of the works and the development of its ups and downs.The theme of Xu Zechen's novel creation is basically complementary to his life experience and footprints.The writer reflects the sense of mission of social life and drives him to explore the infinite possibility of the novel's implication;the development and change of the creation concept from the classical aesthetic tradition to the modern aesthetic world makes him start the creation of absurd works;his own Frank character and personality characteristics of "I am a pessimistic idealist" make pessimism generate the sadness of the style of works,Idealism gives the characters a bright future.Xu Zechen's literary works have formed a tragic and romantic artistic style.
