As the most primitive musical instrument with embryonal significance,The Jews harp is widely distributed in the world.It is known as the "living fossil" of human music.He played an important role in the early stage of the human being,which had the functions of lyric,communicating with God,accompanying dance and even discourse.As one of the representative musical instruments in China,historical records have been left in various periods.After the founding of the People's Republic of China,many musicologists began to study the folk music of different ethnic groups.However,from a macro perspective,the comparative study of the folk music is rare in China.Therefore,this paper attempts to study the northern and southern Chinese The Jews harp from the aspects of history,social environment and site selection survey.Through site selection,we can see the commonness of the origin of human music culture,and clarify the historical context and style characteristics of the northern and southern Chinese The Jews harp.The content of the chapter is as follows.In the first chapter,from the perspective of historical ethnomusicology,combined with historical documents,it discusses the definition and classification of the chord,the historical origin of the chord,and the current situation of the Chinese chord.The second chapter studies the Kazak oral strings in Altay,Xinjiang.Combined with the field investigation,it clarifies the Chinese names of Kazak oral strings,corrects the existing errors,and describes the living environment and current situation of Kazak oral strings in detail.The third chapter describes the living environment and the current situation of the Yi oral strings in Liangshan area of Sichuan Province.Chapter four and five are the core points of this paper.Chapter four,through the comparison of the existing research results and the analysis from the perspective of history,culture,function and acoustics,constructs the musical meaning of the northern and southern Chinese The Jews harp.The fifth chapter,based on Timothy Rice's "historical construction social maintenance personal creation" mode,explains and interprets the culture of the Chinese The Jews harp from the perspective of history,present and future,and puts forward the author's personal views.In the past,The Jews harp had the functions of transmitting love,self entertainment,emotional comfort,religious ceremony,etc.,with specific significance and connotation,but now each function has basically evolved into simple instrument performance.Through the research at this stage,the focus of this paper is to study and sort out the historical context and development process of Chinese The Jews harp,combined with site selection field survey,to explore the characteristics and similarities and differences between North and South The Jews harp.
