A Research On The Spread And Evolution Of Gao Jia Opera Overseas

From pretending to be the heroes of the water margin to today's GaoJia opera actors,the inheritance of GaoJia opera has been hundreds of years.Compared with the Songjiang opera,which was mainly based on the martial arts in the rural areas of southern Fujian in the past,today's GaoJia operas are complete and diverse,and have become one of the operas with significant influence at home and abroad.As the earliest Fujian opera that followed Fujian people overseas,Although the form of performance has merged and changed after the integration of immigration,But still uphold the tradition of absorbing the essence of other operas,Performing in Singapore,Malaysia and the Philippines,it still maintains the core of traditional minnan culture of "respect to god" and "loyalty,filial piety,integrity and righteousness".At present,it is a new era of cultural exchanges and collisions at home and abroad.The study on the overseas spread and evolution of Gaojia opera is not only helpful for the better inheritance and protection of opera culture,but also helpful to provide a good case for China's foreign cultural exchange.Former scholars and scholars used it as the core basic data to explore the historical evolution of Gao Jia Opera in Fujian Opera using the "History of Opera Development".About 1840,as the overseas Chinese have spread overseas,they have performed more than one hundred years in the Gaojia Opera in Singapore,Malaysia,and the Philippines.This is the main research and analysis of the second,third,and fourth chapters of the dissertation.The study found,As early as around 1840,gaojia opera had spread to overseas southeast Asia.According to the literature review,GaoJia is the earliest transplanted Fujian opera in Singapore and Malaysia;In the Philippines,although the GaoJia opera was not the first Fujian opera to enter the region,it was the most influential Fujian opera.In the more than one hundred years of spreading GaoJia Opera in Singapore,Malaysia,and the Philippines,there has been a change in maintaining China's core traditions and merging with other cultures in stages.For more than a hundred years,It has experienced five complete stages:overseas germination(before 20 th century),peak(early 20 th century-1940s),trough(1940s-1950s),secondary high(1950s-1970s)and turnaround(1980s to present).In the thesis,the research methods of literature analysis,field investigation and comparative analysis are used,and Gaojia Opera is used as a carrier to analyze the inheritance and change of the cultural transmission of Gaojia Opera in Singapore,Malaysia,and the Philippines for more than 100 years.In the historical research of cultural exchange between China and foreign countries,it has added strength.
