Gestalt Image Actualization In Prose Translation

This thesis is a study of Gestalt image reconstruction in prose translation from the perspective of Gestalt image theory.Gestalt image is a kind of overall image that exists in literary works universally.The internal structure of Gestalt image is the integration of "frame-scene" based on the reorganization of the original structure.From the aesthetic point of view,the success of prose translation is closely related to the reconstruction of Gestalt images.The internal structure of Gestalt image and aesthetic experience are taken as the measurement level.On the structural level,Xia Ji'an adjusted the sentence structure with Gestalt images as the core;the lexical procession of the original and the translation does not exactly correspond,but the integrity of images is still consistent.On the level of aesthetic experience,the overall correspondence of linguistic framework between source text and target text,or the overall representation based on Gestalt image,would produce a high aesthetic equivalence,therefore,this research analyzes the joint between aesthetic representation of prose translation and the reconstruction of Gestalt image,and how Xia reproduced the aesthetic characteristics of the source text in the translation from the syntactic level.The main conclusions of the thesis are as follows: the aesthetic representation of prose translation is in essence the linguistic restructuring of its Gestalt image.The linguistic structure of the target text and the elements of each translation unit should be adjusted according to the Gestalt image of the source text,so as to achieve a harmonious aesthetic effect.Harmony is not only the aesthetic standard that translators need to follow,but also the aesthetic effect that translators need to achieve.The restructuring of Gestalt image is conducive to realize the aesthetic experience of the source text and the equivalence on the aesthetic level.
