A Comparative Study On The Singing Of Ancient Poetry Songs In Different Periods

Chinese ancient poetry of songs are artistic treasures born on the land of the East,and are the outstanding crystallization of the five thousand years of Chinese culture.The development of ancient poetry of songs has a long history.It can be traced back to the Book of Songs during the Spring and Autumn Period,and the subsequent generations continued to develop on the basis of inheritance,such as the ancient poetry art songs created by western composition techniques in modern times.To this day,many composers still compose songs which filled with classic ancient poetries.Therefore,in my concert,I chose three ancient poetry songs in different periods based on my preferences and suitability.They are the ancient song Parting In Yangguan,the modern song I Live at Upstream,and the modern composition Like a Dream.These three songs were written in different periods,and their composition skills and singing thinking are completely different.In order to obtain the best singing results at the concert,this article will compare and analyze the singing methods of three ancient poetry songs in different periods through practical and theoretical research.The whole thesis is researched in three chapters.The first chapter introduces the ancient poetry of songs and its division in ancient times,modern times and contemporary times.The second chapter combining the practice in the concert,analyzes and contrasts the three songs written in different periods from the aspects of creative background,music form,vocal skills and emotional processing,so as to obtain an appropriate interpretation method.The third chapter is the experience and deficiencies of singing these three ancient poetry songs in different periods at the concert.From the actual singing at the concert site,some methods and singing comprehension on the details of ancient poetry songs in different periods are derived.Songs from different periods are a symbol of the spiritual culture of that era.I combined theoretical research with concert singing practice,hoping to sing these three ancient poetry songs from different periods well at the concert,and get some feelings from learning national art songs.At the same time,ancient poems as a powerful carrier of Chinese culture,I also hope that this article can make a certain contribution to the research,teaching and inheritance of ancient poetry songs in different periods.
