Analysis Of Debussy’s Performance Of "La Plus Que Lente(Valse)"

Achille-Claude Debussy is an influential composer and innovator in France at the end of 19 th century and the beginning of 20 th century.《La plus que lente(valse)》is a salon-style piano sketch intended to satirize the slow waltz style popular in salons of 20th-century French society.There are few researches on 《La plus que lente(valse)》at home and abroad.Because I likes Debussy’s music very much and has a certain understanding of it in learning and practicing,as well as a certain understanding of its creation background and playing technique,I choose this piece as the topic of my graduate thesis.This paper is divided into four parts: the first part summarizes Debussy’s personal life and the background of this work;The second part of the work from the structure,voice,musical characteristics and other aspects of the brief analysis,for the performance of the track clear thinking;The third step is to analyze the performance from the aspects of strong elastic speed,key touch,power level,pedal and spatial artistic conception.The fourth part expounds the comprehension and summary of actual performance.I hope this article can help the author to interpret this work better and also provide some ideas and experience for the players who are also interested in impressionist works and love Debussy.
