A Comparison Of The "Personality Conflict" Between Dazai Osamu And Mo Yan's Literature

What phenomenon is to essence,that literature is to personality.With the rapid development of the reform and modernization,under the impact of egoism,quick decay and other ideological trends,human nature has become increasingly indifferent,personality consciousness has become increasingly weak,personality conflict has become more obvious,and personality crisis has become more frequent.Literature is a humanities subject originated from people's life and creation.As a humanities profession,literary writers can no longer ignore “personality”.As the representative writer of Japanese “rogue” and Chinese “root-seeking novel”,Dazai Osamu and Mo Yan,who integrated rich personal spiritual connotation,humanism and love in their novels.This thesis selects Dazai Osamu and Mo Yan into the parallel research from the perspective of comparative literature.The purpose is to compare the similarities and differences of the characters' “personality conflict” in their works,and then indicate the “personality conflict” hidden in the writers' spiritual world,analyses the development of the writers' “personality conflict”process and the forming reason.This article will inspire how to recognize,deal with,alleviate and break through the dilemma of the “personality conflict”,maintain the stability of personality,and promote the diversified development of literature towards personality.The first part explains the theoretical basis and the crisis of “personality conflict”.First of all,it summarizes the theories of “persona” and “neo-Freudism”,and then paraphrases what is “personality conflict” and its crisis.The second part is based on the theory of “persona”,and selects three pairs of teenagers,middle-aged and old characters in the works of Dazai Osamu and Mo Yan,then points out the presentative similarities of the persona of “personality conflict” when facing different pressures.Ye Zang and Luo Han,wear “performer” masks because of the contradiction between self and environment is difficult to reconcile.Moerus and “Aunt”Wan Xin,wear “brave” masks because of the conflict between ego and moral principle.Mother in The Setting Sun and Shangguan Lushi,wear the "guardian" mask due to the pressure of survival.The third part selects Human Lost and Cow,Run,Moerus! and Frog: A Novel,TheSetting Sun and Big Breasts & Wide Hips: A Novel as examples,and explores the different internal causes of “personality conflict” under the same individual mask representation.The differences in the growing atmosphere and pursuit of the writers in childhood,shape different “personality conflict” between Ye Zang and Luo Han under the mask of performance.The differences in writers' growth experiences and creative intentions,lead to the development of different personality conflict between the three characters in Run,Moerus! and the others in Frog: A Novel.The differences in the background of the writer's life,cause the different personality conflict between “The Setting Sun” family and “Shangguan” family.The fourth part,by comparing the similarities and differences between Dazai and Mo Yan in the creation of personality conflict,and combining the authors' creative intentions,summarizes the artistic contributions and inspirations of the two creations to personality portrayal,that is,facing the paradox of life,condensing the times and national culture,and calling for collective humane care.Finally,concludes that the effective way of self-balance and self-consistent fusion of personality is the harmonious unity of external “words,thoughts and actions” and internal “unadulterated,virtuous and wonderful”.
