New China was founded in December 1931 in Ruijin,Jiangxi Province,which is the continuation of Red China.As the party newspaper of the Communist Party of China and the vehicle of propaganda of the government of Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Regions during the Anti-Japanese War,it championed unity and progress and succeed in using public opinions against two anti-Communist onslaughts launched by the Kuomintang and reported the situation of Sino-Japanese war and the domestic political and economic situations of Japan,making the public have a more clear understanding of the war.In the face of traitors and pro-Japanese elements and all the schemes and intrigues of reactionary forces,New China disclosed and attacked them.Sticking to the principle of Anti-Japanese War to the End and the policy of progress,it,as a sharp weapon in the political struggle of the Communist Party of China,mobilized the public and army to fight actively.Taking the reports on Japan of New China from 1937 to 1941 as the main research object,this paper systematically sorts out and analyzes the contents of the reports.According to the structure,it can be generally divided into the following four parts:The first part mainly analyzes the New China as a whole,studying the course of its establishment and development.The second part gives a brief introduction to the main columns of the reports on Japan of New China and makes a general exploration of the sources of its information and authors.The third part makes a systematic classification and a deep analysis about the specific contents of reports on Japan of New China,which can be generally divided into five parts: the situation of china's domestic war,the Japanese War of Aggression against China,the anti-Japanese stance and attitude of the Communist Party of China,Japan's domestic war as well as Japan's situation in international relations.As for the fourth part,it explores the effects and disadvantages of the reports on Japan of New China.As the party newspaper of the Communist Party of China,it not only illustrates the assertions of anti-Japanese of the Communist Party of China,propagates the views to Japan,but also reveals the conspiracy and criminal acts ofimperialist invasions of China and calls on the whole nation to fight to the end as well as mobilizes advanced people to take part in Anti-Japanese War.However,New China also has some disadvantages such as delayed information,trivial contents and the lack of organization,one-sided coverage of Japan as well as incomplete intelligence networks and so on.
