Research On The History Of Tiankong Choir In 2003-2018

Since the beginning of the 20th century,Chinese chorus has been through over 100 years of development,going through the forming stage of learning from the western chorus genre,the transitional period of the combination of Chinese chorus artistry and epochal character,and the nationalizing exploration period of the implanting of modern chorus thinking.By the beginning of the 21st century,along with the cross-century transformation of Chinese culture,Chinese chorus art has gone into a new transition period,and embarked on the road of diversified development,gradually formed western paradigm of various choral forms such as European,and Russian style,Chinese chorus paradigm of forms such as Chinese folk songs and Chinese art,and modern choral paradigm of forms such as popular songs and mass chorus.In the process of Chinese chorus art diversification,the innovation of works and performance were especially highlighted,for example,Inner Mongolia youth choir playing the Mongolian works in 2000 in the first World Choir Games,the Guizhou Dong Minority Chorus of "Young Singer Competition" sang polyphonic folk song with original ecological singing in 2008,and noticeable Tiankong choir cut a figure in the "Young Singer Competition",with the refreshing pure voice.Chinese chorus master Hongnian Yang commented:"' Tiankong' means a new voice,a new Chinese chorus style." From a certain extent,Tiankong choir,in these 15 years from 2003 to 2018.has influenced and guided the development of Chinese female chorus in the new century,"Tiankong" has gained wide attention and recognition in Chinese chorus circles in singing style,performing thinking,the choice of works,performance apparel and so on,and even become a kind of "icon",being "popular" and "imitated",and giving rise to "Tiankong" tide once again.In particular,Tiankong chorus was invited to the annual performance of ACDA(American Choral Directors Association),the special concert of Tchaikovsky Conservatory and twice to the "August Chorus Festival",a brand project of The National Grand Theatre,reaching the peak of Chinese female chorus.Tiankong choir is famous for its heavenly sound and infinite beauty brought to people by its music.As a female chorus,it has become a banner of Chinese chorus and can be regarded as one of the most influential chorus in China" said Yubin Tian,former President of Chinese Chorus Association).Therefore,Tiankong choir,as the "flag" of Chinese female chorus,is worth thinking and studying.In this paper,Tiankong choir,which is praised as "the highest level of Chinese female voice",was taken as the research object.By using the research methods of document literature,video and oral records,the historical value of the years from 2003 to 2018 was sorted out in four chapters.In the first chapter the gestation and initial founding of Tiankong choir were expounded,and"Tiankong style" was preliminarily determined;in the second chapter,the growth and span by Tiankong choir were explained,solidifying the "Tiankong style",expanding to"multi-thinking" and developing to "internationalization";in the third chapter the creation of the "new Tiankong" era was introduced,embarking on the national self-confident road of exploring Chinese chorus;in the fourth chapter,the construction,art and essence of Tiankong choir was summarized,sticking to the national cultural highland of Chinese chorus art.
