In recent years, researchers at home and abroad have discovered the important role of cognitive process in the formation of social anxiety, and proposed a series of mediation models to describe the interaction between various cognitive factors in shyness and social anxiety. The trait of shyness makes individuals more likely to have distorted cognition of social situations and cues, which promotes and maintains social anxiety. However,it is found in cross-cultural studies that the proportion of shy people with social adaptation problems is significantly different in various cultural backgrounds.Shy people in traditional Chinese cultural environment have better social adaptation ability, while in developed urban areas of China, shy people are more prone to social adaptation problems. Therefore,in order to further explore how cognitive biases affect the social anxiety of shy people, and at the same time,in order to use the existing research in clinical practice, this study will with cognitive behavioral orientation, intervention with social anxiety of college students' study, verify its effect, for the future of social anxiety intervention and shy children education to provide the reference.Based on the mediation model proposed by Vassilopoulos, the purpose of this study was to intervene the expected processing process and the interpretation bias in the process of social anxiety.Through the analysis and discussion of the thought process, the bias thinking of the above two processes is gradually reduced. So that social anxiety doesn't get in the way.In this study, two universities in central China recruited subjects through the WeChat official account of the university. After screening the level of shyness, the level of social anxiety and the willingness of the subjects,a total of 24 college students participated in the experiment, and the intervention experiment was conducted in the form of group psychological counseling. The 24 subjects were divided into experimental group and control group, each with 12 subjects.Because of the group size, the experimental group was divided into two groups,it was treated once a week for six weeks for 100 minutes, while the control group was given no treatment. Finally, through the measurement results of cognitive deviation scale, shyness scale and social anxiety scale,we found that:1.In the experimental group, there was a significant difference in the scores of cognitive bias of the pre-test and post-test,and the post-test level was significantly lower than that in the pre-test.There was no significant difference before and after test in the control group. That is,the cognitive bias of the subjects can be effectively reduced by intervention.2.In the experimental group, there were significant differences in the scores of shyness and social anxiety, and the post-test level was significantly lower than that of the pre-test.There was no significant difference before and after test in the control group. That is,through the intervention of cognitive bias, the level of shyness and social anxiety were effectively reduced.3.Compared with the follow-up measurement two months later, the cognitive deviation score of the experimental group significantly recovered, that is,the cognitive deviation level of the subjects appeared again, and there was no significant difference in the scores of shyness level and social anxiety. That is,the effect of cognitive bias intervention is not lasting, but the effect of shyness and social anxiety intervention is effective and lasting. The results show that the intervention program with cognitive bias as the target can effectively reduce the cognitive bias of the social anxious, and reduce the level of shyness and social anxiety of the subjects.
