Research On Novel Monthly And The Literary Research Association

As a new literature association with the most influence and the most remarkable achievements during the May 4th period,the development and success of the Literary Research Association cannot be separated from the power of the media.In the media of the Literary Research Association,the role of "Novel Monthly" in the period of innovation cannot be ignored.From 1921 to 1922,Shen Yanbing served as the editor-in-chief of the "Novel Monthly" and presided over innovation.The "Novel Monthly" became an important publication of the Literary Research Association.Through this journal,the Literary Research Association played an important role in the construction of new literature.However,the relationship between Novel Monthly and the Literary Research Association in this period has not been discussed intensively.Therefore,this article takes the relationship between "Novel Monthly" and the Literary Research Association in the period of innovation as the research object,and discusses the significance of "Novel Monthly" to the Literary Research Association from the aspects of theoretical criticism,foreign literature translation and new literature creation.In additon to the intoduction and concluion,the main body is divided into three cheapters.The first part mainly discusses the relationship between "Novel Monthly" and the Literary Research Association from the perspective of theory and criticism.In terms of theoretical discussion,the Literary Research Association conducted discussions on"naturalism","translation problems","style Europeanization",and "creation problems"through the "Fiction Monthly";Monthly News carried out overall criticism of literary creation and individual criticism of writers’ works.These articles show the literary idea and literary idea of the Literary Research Society to a great extent,and become an important window for understanding the theoretical criticism of the Literary Research Society.The second chapter mainly discusses the relationship between "Novel Monthly" and the Literary Research Association from the perspective of extraterritorial translation."Novel Monthly" with its rich capacity and special translation columns and special titles has become the most important field for the Literary Research Association to carry out extraterritorial translation and translation.All aspects have contributed extraordinary power to the translation and introduction activities of the Literary Research Association,and also provided abundant extraterritorial literary resources for new literature.The third chapter mainly discusses the relationship between "Novel Monthly" and the Literary Research Association from the perspective of new literary creation.During the period of innovation,Shen Yanbing set up "Creation","Long and Short Stories" and other columns in the "Novel Monthly" to support the new literary creation of the Literature Research Association platform.Not only did it make outstanding achievements in novels,it also made various contributions to the creation and practice of the prose and drama styles of the Literature Research Association.In short,during the establishment of the status of the Literary Research Association during the May 4th Movement,the Novel Monthly during the reform period played a very unique and important role.
