Zuo Zhuan Yi is acommentary work of Zuo Zhuan written by Zhou Dazhang,a critic in the early Qing Dynasty.There are a lot of knowledgeable theories,which have high research value.The introduction firstly clarifies the research value of Zhou Dazhang's Zuo Zhuan Yi from three aspects:philology,literature and comment history.Then,the related research status is reviewed,and the corresponding research methods are introduced.The first chapter of the thesis mainly introduces the background of Zuo Zhuan Yi.This part discusses the personal factors and era background of Zuo Zhuan Yi.On the one hand,Zhou Dazhang was rigorous in his study,and his view of reading,communication with Zhang family,and his pursuit of ideals all influenced his idea of comment.On the other hand,Zuo Zhuan Yi came into being in the heyday of Zuo Zhuan's comments.Both the times' comments on Zuo Zhuan and the trend of the improvement of the current writing contribute to the completion of Zuo Zhuan Yi.The second chapter of the thesis mainly studies the compilation style and edition of Zuo Zhuan Yi.The author investigated Zuo Zhuan Yi's several editions,such as Sui Chu Tang manuscript in the fifth year of Qianlong,Wen Sheng Tang manuscript in the fifth year of Qianlong,Wu Ben Tang manuscript in the fifth year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty,and sorted out the existing editions in the form of tables,compared the specific situations of different editions.There are many versions of Zuo Zhuan Yi,which are rarely changed in the process of circulation.It can be seen that it was widely circulated,in great demand and in great use at that time.The third chapter of the thesis mainly discusses the classics thought of Zhou Dazhang in Zuo Zhuan Yi from two aspects:the explanation of "Li" and the way of emphasizing the monarch and the minister.Zhou Dazhang was a typical Confucian scholar,who believed in cultivating one's morality,governing the country,and making the world whole.In Zuo Zhuan Yi,he stressed that the government should be based on"morality and propriety",attach importance to the righteousness of the monarch and his subjects,and emphasize the two-way interaction between the monarch and his subjects.The fourth chapter of the thesis mainly discusses the grammar comments of Zuo Zhuan Yi from three aspects:chapter review,syntax and grammer.Zuo Zhuan Yi is mainly composed of discourse grammar,which analyze the spiritual blood of each article in detail,so that the later learning can be connected.The chapter and criticism are reflected in the continuity and change of writing;the syntactic comments are elegant and pay attention to the rhetorical devices of sentences;the grammer comments reflect the tendency of simplicity and reveal the eyes of one article.The fifth chapter of the thesis mainly explores the comment characteristics of Zuo Zhuan Yi.This chapter discusses Zhou Dazhang's attitude of keeping improving in his comments on Zuo Zhuan from four aspects:penetrating the whole history,pointing out the main brain,advocating euphemism and evaluating characters according to events.On the basis of text analysis combined with a comprehensive historical perspective.On the basis of a sophisticated analysis of the war to clarify the key points.On the basis of advocating euphemism,this paper discusses the micro-meaning of Zuo Zhuan.On the basis of appraising the characters,we should make an objective evaluation according to the facts.The conclusion part summarizes the shortcomings of Zuo Zhuan Yi.The first is that the general evaluation has repeated analysis of the text,and the second is that the grammar criticism has not formed a systematic theory of criticism.The author thinks that there is still room for further research on Zhou Dazhang's Zuo Zhuan Yi.
