| Approximate numbers is a vague expression used to express things speakers are unwilling, incapable,or uncertain to do,one of which is pure numeric approximate numbers simply consisting of numbers. From the perspective of grammar, semantics and pragmatics, this paper aims to investigate the features of pure numeric approximate numbers and its acquisitions for the foreign students with middle-level Chinese at Henan University in 2019,finds out their error types and causes by the corpus and questionnaire.By the HSK corpus, the relative Chinese textbooks and the questionnaire, this paper explores the features of pure numeric approximate numbers, investigates the acquisition of pure numeric approximate numbers for international students with middle-level Chinese in the Chinese Academy of Henan University in 2019 and analyzes the acquisition errors. The results show that Chinese pure numeric approximate numbers can be divided into the adjacent and the non-adjacent.The number of values can be divided into infinite and finite. In terms of grammatical distribution, purely numeric approximate numbers can co-occur with mood adverbs such as “Da Gai” or “Da Yue”,but cannot coexist with the expressions of “Duo” “Lai” “Ba”.The foreign students have very little knowledge of Chinese pure numeric approximate numbers, and errors such as misuse and hybridity often occur. The complexity of pure numeric approximate numbers, negative mother tongue transfer, and negative target language transfer are the main causes for the errors.Based on the results, some suggestions are proposed: teachers should choose appropriate teaching methods.Relying on classroom teaching materials, they should expand appropriately according to the learning level of students and cleverly create scenarios.Teaching should be integrated with small activities or games, combined with practice, and graded by the difficulty to stimulate students learning enthusiasm and achieve good teaching results. In the end of the paper,a teaching scheme is designed on purely numerical approximate numbers to help the teaching and learning of Chinese purely numeric approximate numbers. |
