The Changes Of The Village Families In The Yellow River Flood Area In The East Of Henan Province

Since the Song Dynasty,clan has been the basic social organization of traditional Chinese society.After "reform and opening up",after a period of administrative policy repression,the clan revived in many places in China.Xieying village,Taikang County,Henan Province,is the main surname.It was settled here in the Ming and Qing dynasties at the latest.In the Huayuankou incident in 1938,Xieying village suffered the disaster of extinction.Most of the villagers who survived the disaster chose to escape.Many of them were not able to return until the Yellow River was restored in 1947.During the Yellow River flood,the Japanese army invaded,the government was paralyzed,the society was out of order,and the folk clan organizations did not play any obligation of mutual assistance.The land of Eastern Henan fell into the darkness of hell on earth.Today,with the "reform and opening up",Chinese society has entered a state of comprehensive rejuvenation.Xieying village and the east of Henan Province have many activities to revise the genealogy.The author intends to describe the situation of the clans in the Huang pan period through the field investigation of Xieying village,discuss the reasons of today's clan revival and its social role,and look forward to its future development.The paper is divided into two parts.The first part is the introduction,which first describes the reasons for the research of the clan in the Yellow River flood area;secondly,the review of the current stage of the clan research,as well as the academic understanding of the causes,functions and functions of the revival of the clan;secondly,it introduces the theoretical framework and research methods of this study;finally,it introduces the field investigation arrangement of the author.The second part is the main body.The first chapter mainly describes the general situation of xieying village,including physical geography,political economy,history and culture.The second chapter mainly introduces the historical origin and manifestation of Xieying village clans,analyzes the current situation of the clans in Xieying village from two aspects of blood and geography,and reviews the Yellow River flooding event that Xieying village suffered,and explores the role of Xieying village clans in the Yellow River flooding disaster.The third chapter focuses on the contemporary Xieying village clans to repair and continue the genealogy,records the process of Xieying village clans to repair and continue the genealogy from before Huang pan to now,analyzes the reasons for the repair and continuation of the genealogy,and expounds the attitude of different groups of Xieying village to the repair and continuation of the genealogy and the role of modern clans in Xieying village.The fourth chapter explores the actual social role and function of the clans in the east of Henan Province through the comparison between the clans in Xieying village and the mature clans in South China.Finally,the conclusion summarizes the whole paper.
