Research On The Relationship Of Illness Uncertainty,Psychological Capital And Coping Style Of Patients With Depression In Hospital

ObjectiveThrough the study on the status of illness uncertainty,psychological capital and coping style,analyzing the relationship between illness uncertainty,psychological capital and coping style in hospitalized depression patients,and to explore the affecting factors of coping styles in patients with depression,and provide effective suggestions for patients to reduce illness uncertainty,so that to promote them recovery and prognosis.Method114 patients were selected from a city mental health center as the respondents for this study,General situation questionnaire,MUIS,Psychological capital scale(PPQ)and Coping style questionnaire(CSQ)were used for investigation,and for statistical analysis.Result1.The average score of MUIS is 92.56±8.92,which was at a medium level;The average score of psychological capital was 98.46±23.75,lower than the median score of 104;Negative coping styles was significantly higher than that of normal population(P<0.05).2.There was a significant negative correlation between illness uncertainty and psychological capital(r=-0.348);Psychological capital was positively correlated with positive coping style(r=0.669),and was negatively correlated with negative coping style(r=-0.471);Illness uncertainty was significantly negatively correlated with positive coping style(r=-0.244),and was positively correlated with negative coping style(r=0.277).3.Multivariate linear regression analysis showed that age and degree of education were the affect factors of coping styles of patients with depression(P<0.05).4.After adding psychological capital,the standard regression coefficient of the illness uncertainty on positive coping style increased from-0.141 to-0.007,and the standard regression coefficient on negative coping style decreased from 0.188 to 0.087.Conclusion1.The hospitalized patients with depression had medium level of illness uncertainty,low level psychological capital and negative coping styles.2.Illness uncertainty has a significantly negative correlation with positive coping style,and a significant positive correlation between disease uncertainty and negative coping style;Psychological capital is positively correlated with positive coping style and negatively correlated with negative coping style.3.Age and degree of education were the affect factors of coping styles of hospitalized patients with depression.4.Psychological capital plays a mediating role in the relationship between the illness uncertainty and positive coping style of hospitalized patients with depression,and it plays a mediating role in the relationship between the illness uncertainty and negative coping style of hospitalized patients with depression.
