| Chen zongqi was a scholar of classics in jiadao period in qing dynasty. His academic achievements are all embodied in the collection of his collected works, the only surviving manuscripts of his collected works.Although he followed the principle of extensive knowledge and his research scope covered the Confucian sutras, his focus was still on the study of rites of the zhou dynasty. At present, academic circles pay little attention to him.Through sorting out his works on the rites of zhou,we can deepen the study of him.Influenced by the reflection trend of sinology in the period of jiadao,Chen zongqi was extremely dissatisfied with the exclusive status of sinology at that time in academic thought, and advocated the harmony between han and song dynasties. This showed that he had the consciousness of seeking change and seeking new interpretations of classics from his courage to question the ancient annotations and his independence. On the other hand,in the face of the reality of the problem, for the governance of the river, also dare to put forward objections and methods, showing a strong practical thought. However, despite his reflection on sinology,it can be seen from his examination of the rites of zhou that he was innovative in consciousness, but he was still the same with the school of sinology in method, and his achievements had their own uniqueness, but also their difficulty in breaking out of the limitations of sinology. |
