Discourse Analysis About "Hahaha" In Wechat Communication

The development of "WeChat" language can not only reflect the current linguistic phenomenon,but also predict the future development and evolution direction of Chinese language.This paper investigates the application of "ha ha ha" in the conversational corpus of "WeChat".These words not only evolve various forms of expression that are different from the standard ones,but also derive a variety of powerful pragmatic functions.How and why language users use "hahaha" to manage communication in the asynchronous interaction mode of "WeChat" becomes the starting point of this paper.Firstly,this paper defines the "hahaha" laughter onomatopoeic words.Then,based on the large-scale real "WeChat" conversational corpus,with statistical results as data support,and with the theoretical basis of conversation analysis,this paper calculates and analyzes the use frequency of "hahaha" and the frequency of "hahaha" in different conversational positions.Then,this paper uses the observational description method to describe,and concludes that these laughter onomatopoeic words have the following two characteristics:variety of forms,universality of use.Secondly,by analyzing the conversations with "hahaha" in the "WeChat"conversational corpus one by one,it is found that "hahaha" not only have the single onomatopoeic function of "simulating human laughter",also not simply paralanguage"laughter",but are speech strategies that contain multiple pragmatic functions.In session"WeChat","hahaha" have an emotional function,not only can express positive emotions,but also can release negative emotions;these words mainly play the communicative function of maintaining social relations and promoting conversation process,specifically,"hahaha" can dissolve the awkward moment when communicating,mitigate possible conflicts in communication,construct the identity image of the communicator,express specific communicative intention,build a high communication atmosphere,as well as build a complete communication context.At the same time,the onomatopoeia of"hahaha" has a textual function that cannot be ignored in both "form" and "content".Finally,this paper compares and analyzes the "hahaha" laughter onomatopoeic words in "WeChat" conversational corpus,"microblog" information corpus and "literary works" corpus,and it is found that these words have differences in "expression form" and"pragmatic function"."WeChat" and "microblog" messages appear in Chinese characters,letters and Numbers in the form of "hahaha","literary works" only Chinese form of expression.This is the language user's choice of the form of the word."Hahaha" is mainly used for emotional expression in "microblog" and "literary works",and mainly plays interpersonal function in "WeChat" conversation,which is a polite strategy.Therefore,this paper attempts to explain the reasons for the popularity of "hahaha" from the perspectives of "linguistic adaptation theory" and "politeness strategy".The first is the drive of "linguistic adaptation theory".These words not only conform to the language users' labor-saving psychology,conformity psychology,catharsis psychology,euphemism psychology and entertainment psychology,but also conform to the value orientation of social communicators,the needs of social media,social culture and social relations,as well as the physical world.Secondly,"hahaha" laughter onomatopoeia can be used as positive politeness strategies,negative politeness strategies and indirect strategies to save others' face or protect their own face.
