The Impact Of College Students’ Interpersonal Sensitivity On Suicidal Ideation

Globally,suicide is a serious public and mental health problem and ranks second among causes of death among people aged 15 to 29.Suicide ideation is an important indicator for assessing suicide risk.Studying its influencing factors can provide some reference for suicide prevention and suicide intervention.Whether the interpersonal relationship is harmonious or not is an important indicator that affects the quality of life of college students,and is also one of the important indicators to measure the mental health of individuals or groups.In order to explore the impact of interpersonal sensitivity of college students on suicidal ideation,to find out the possibility of suicidal risk as soon as possible,this study selects freshmen,sophomores and juniors from three universities in Wuhan as research objects,Using college student interpersonal sensitivity questionnaire,UCLA loneliness scale,Beck depression scale,and suicidal ideation questionnaire to investigate 875 college students,to preliminary explore the relationship between college student interpersonal sensitivity and loneliness,depression and suicidal ideation,We also investigated whether loneliness and depression play a chain mediating role between interpersonal sensitivity and suicidal ideation.The research results are as follows:(1)Significant positive correlations between suicidal ideation,interpersonal sensitivity,depression,and loneliness among college students.(2)Loneliness Partly Mediates Interpersonal Sensitivity and Suicidal Ideation.(3)Depression partially mediates interpersonal sensitivity and suicidal ideation.(4)Loneliness and depression play a chain mediating role between interpersonal sensitivity and suicidal ideation.
