| To explore the relationships among trait anger,anger-in,anger-out,anger-control,perceived burdensomeness, thwarted belongingness and suicidal ideation among undergraduate students through the lens of the interpersonal theory of suicide.Beck Scale for Suicide Ideation-Chinese Version(SSI-CV),Interpersonal Needs Questionnaire(INQ-12)and State-trait anger expression inventory 2(STAXI-II)were administrated to 650 undergraduate students, and SPSS 12.0 and Lisrel 8.70 were used to analyze the data.In the 650 undergraduate students being investigated, the valid data is 622..(1)Trait anger,anger-in,anger-out,anger-control,perceived burdensomeness, thwarted belongingness were significantly co-related with suicide ideation;Perceived burdensomeness, thwarted belongingness were positively correlated with trait anger and anger-in;Perceived burdensomeness, thwarted belongingness were negatively associated with anger-control;The relationships among trait anger,anger-in,anger-out and anger-control were significant;(2)Perceived burdensomeness mediates the relationship between trait anger and suicide ideation wholly;(3)Perceived burdensomeness mediates the relationship between anger-in and suicide ideation partially;(4)Perceived burdensomeness mediates the relationship between anger-control and suicide ideation wholly;(5)The model among trait anger,anger-in,anger-control,perceived burdensomeness and suicide ideation is valid. The undergraduate students with higher trait anger are inclined to have lower anger-control,then increasing the level of suicidal ideation can be explained by their higher levels of perceived burdensomeness. The high level of anger-in not only can lead to high suicidal ideation directly, but can be explained by the perceived burdensomeness indirectly. |
