History of Chinese Poetry is the first volume of History of Chinese Literature edited by German Sinologist Wolfgang Kubin.Because the writers of overseas Chinese literary history have different cultural contexts and academic backgrounds from domestic scholars,the literary history written is much different from domestic literary history works.This article takes History of Chinese Poetry as the research object,analyzes its individual writing features and deficiencies,and compares it with poetry section of History of Chinese Literature in Cambridge,analyzes the differences between the two at the writing level and the reasons for their formation,with a view to increasing The recognition of this writing genre.This article consists of three chapters,plus an introduction,and the conclusion is a total of five parts,as follows:The first chapter analyzes the background of Kubin’s research on History of Chinese Poetry from the aspects of the development of contemporary German Sinology and Kubin’s academic research.Contemporary German Sinology presents a diversified development pattern centered on various universities,and Kubin’s Sinology research is influenced by the unitary of pluralism-Bonn School.Kubin studied theology,philosophy,and German literature before turning to Sinology.These three influenced his research on the history of Chinese poetry in different ways.Theology and philosophy are important points for Kubin to think about the development of Chinese literature;the study of German literature has had an important influence on the writing style of the ten-volume History of Chinese Literature.The second chapter analyzes the personalized writing of History of Chinese Poetry.It mainly analyzes the personalized writing of History of Chinese Poetry from the concepts of religion,cosmology,"melancholy" and "subjective observation" in two Western cultures.Kubin regards religion as the origin of Chinese literature,and analyzes the literary works before the Han Dynasty from a religious perspective;uses cosmology as the basis for interpreting the art of Chinese classical poetry,and establishes its correspondence with the language and structure of poetry;The two concepts of Western culture and "subjective observation" proceed to examine the development of Chinese literature.The third chapter compares History of Chinese Poetry with Cambridge Chinese Literature History.History of Chinese Poetry focuses on the in-depth analysis of representative writers’ works from the concepts of religion,philosophy and Western culture,and explores the ideas and artistic mysteries contained in the works.The Cambridge edition extends the tentacles of narration to many writers who have been neglected in the past literary history,and shows us a more comprehensive face of literary development;History of Chinese Poetry adopts a literary view from the perspective of modern disciplines to choose the objects of narration and pursue a personal The narrative of literary history,using professional scholars of literary research as prospective readers;the Cambridge edition adopts the literary concept of literary culture and the compiling concept of "history in history",and puts all literary things into the scope of writing,and strives to be a non-professional Of English readers provide a basic narrative background in literary history.The conclusion part summarizes the writing characteristics of History of Chinese Poetry and analyzes the advantages and problems of its personal writing.It is pointed out that only when we fully understand the advantages and disadvantages of the history of Chinese literature written by overseas scholars can we internalize it on the basis of our own self-reflection work in the research and writing of the history of Chinese literature. |
