In the call to "rewrite the history of literature",both domestic and foreign countries have rewritten the history of literature.The history of Chinese Literature by Yuan Xingpei and The Cambridge History of Chinese Literature both used the history of Chinese Literature as their narrative subject,and their appearance caused an upsurge of discussion and research.Decades of research have either focused on Yuan Xingpei's The History of Chinese Literature or The Cambridge History of Chinese Literature as his subjects and has made numerous achievements.Based on previous research,the author does a comparative study of the two.Taking differences as the starting point,it presents different aspects of literary history and a relatively three-dimensional literary history.By reading the writing of the history of Chinese literature in the west,we can understand the habit of reading the history of Chinese literature by foreign readers and provide some enlightenment for the future of the history of Chinese literature in foreign countries.The full text consists of four parts,plus an introduction and a total of six parts.The specific content and research ideas are as follows:In the first part,we choose the literary phenomena which are common in both of them,but their interpretation methods are very different.Specifically,fourteen individuals in writers,works,genres,and cultural events were selected for comparative analysis,with a view to examining the differences between the two in details.The second part analyzes the details of the two contents in the narrative.From the narrative focus of The History of Chinese Literature specialties and the unique focus of the narrative focus of The Cambridge History of Chinese Literature,11 individual differences were selected in two aspects,revealing the chapter layout and other aspects revealed in the narrative.specialty.The third part explores the narrative structure of the two.Based on the detailed analysis of the first two parts,the characteristics and differences between the two in terms of the literary history and the chapter layout are summarized.In the fourth part,based on the analysis of the content and structure of the two,the reasons for these differences are reconsidered.From the perspective of literary history,editorial group,expected readers,narrative position and other factors,the reasons for the differences are explained.On the basis of the analysis and inquiry of four parts,the conclusion part reflects the writing of literary history,summarizes the reading habits of western readers,and brings some inspiration for the overseas communication of Chinese literary history,with a view to improving the influence of Chinese literary history abroad.
