With the development of teaching Chinese as a second language,it seems that the traditional teaching model cannot satisfy the training requirements for current Chinese learners.How to make foreign students be willing strongly and deeply to know about China,such as Chinese culture?history and other values,and foster their friendship and love to China,while they are learning the basic knowledge,listening?speaking?reading and writing?This problem is what we TCSLers are working on.To try to solve this problem,we put forward the Chinese teaching based on symmetrical pattern of knowledge and emotion.This paper first starts with the research status at home and abroad of the theory of cognitive teaching.Then it talks about the use of symmetrical pattern of knowledge and emotion in teaching Chinese as a second language.We study this by making teaching plan of Lesson 9 "The sun will shine again after the storm" in the second book of HSK Standard course 4.The second part is the front analysis before teaching.First,we explain the concept of the symmetrical pattern of knowledge and emotion and its theoretical basis.Next we try to discern and analyze the target students,teaching content,and teaching methods.The third part is the whole teaching plan involving five small articles,five language points and thirty-one new words.Dialogue 1,2,3 will be explained in the former two class period,and Essay 4,5 are arranged in the latter two class period.During the plan,we strictly obey the three dimensional purposes.It aims to let overseas students understand the significance of"insist" "give up" "The sun will shine again after the storm" and increase their sense of identity and acceptance of Chinese values,while they master the fundamentals.The fourth part is the feedback referred to the observation,test,and interview after teaching,and some teaching suggestions.Teachers should fully prepare before class with sufficient presuppositions,dig deeply into the teaching content,master the scale when conveying emotions,and improve the students' identification with Chinese values on the premise of respecting diversified cultures...
