In the Qing Dynasty,Yangzhou was economically developed,with many academies and scholars gathering.Yangzhou school came into being in the middle period of Emperor QianLong.It is a group of scholars that naturally formed in Yangzhou following the general spirit of learning created by HuiDong of Wu school and DaiZhen of Hui school.The Qing Dynasty had reached the peak of ancient Chinese family study.The academic tradition of Yangzhou school can be inherited for hundreds of years without disappearing,and it was related to it's profound family tradition.This dissertation takes the family study of Yangzhou school in Qing dynasty as the research object,investigates it's rise and fall history and analyzes reasons behind it's change.This dissertation discusses the contents of Yangzhou school's family study,summarizes it's educational characteristics,and think about the influence of Yangzhou school's family study in order to obtain some advices for current educational practice.The prosperity of Yangzhou school's family study had many advantages.From the political point of view,Yangzhou school family study,which mainly focused on the study of Confucian classics,helped to preserve the independent academic spirit and protect the scholars from political persecution.From the economic point of view,Yangzhou had an superior geographical location in Qing Dynasty,which led to the rapid development of the salt-based commercial economy.All these material foundation helped students of different origins to receive education fairly and establish their own businesse in Yangzhou.From the cultural perspective,the collection of various doctrines in Yangzhou and the establishment of numerous academies were conducive to broadening the field of vision and creating an excellent academic environment.With the decline of Yangzhou's economy and the collapse of the feudal economic system in the late Qing Dynasty,the academic family and family study gradually withdrew from the historical stage.Yangzhou school's family study was famous for its broad research content.It's ac ademic research focused on study of Confucian classics but not limited to this.It had wide range of fileds,inculdinghistory,literature,astronomy,geography,arithmetic,traditional Chinese opera,research of stone.In addition,Yangzhou school's family study had these following characteristics:parents hold scientific education concept,they always educate their children together and pay more attention to their moral education;scholars take t he married family as the organizational form to ensure the academic heritage;they ha ve effective education methods,can adapt to the change of learning style and apply k nowledge to practice.The external factors and internal characteristics of Yangzhou sch ool's family study ensure the learning can be passed down from generation to genera tion.The family study of the Yangzhou school made a great effect on the development of Yangzhou school,which makes it unique and talented.Family study also imperceptibly changed the academic and even social atmosphere of the Qing Dynasty.In the academic aspect,family study tend to quote knowledges of both Han and Song Dynasty and encourage innovation.Further more,it formed an accessible style of study and benevolent social style in Yangzhou.Although the family study was compatible with the natural economic system of feudal society.Yangzhou school has a rigorous style of study and strict family education.Its long-standing family education makes great effect on improving modern family education,academic atmosphere construction and spiritual and cultural inheritance.Culti-vate a rigorous and pure school atmosphere;The inheritance and innovation of fine traditional culture can provide spiritual power of the nation,and help people understand Chinese cultural easily,Moreover,the inheritance of Chinese virtues can manifest the pursuit of national cultural values.We should take the essence,discard the dross and make better use of family study.
