Music Study Of Stephen Chow’s Classic Film Works

Stephen chow,a film maker with strong comedy color,is known by thousands of people with his unique humorous performance style,endowing comedy with different charm and vitality.He is a movie idol in the hearts of several generations of Chinese people.He has not only performed numerous popular movies and created numerous classic characters,but also created the comedy performance form of "wulitou".His works not only bring us happiness and laughter,but also give us a deeper enlightenment.This paper is divided into five chapters,starting from three classic works of Stephen chow’s films,and analyzing the music part of his works from the perspectives of cinematology and musicology.The first chapter mainly expounds the original motivation and ideas of the paper,introduces Stephen chow and his representative films,so that everyone has a basic understanding of Stephen chow himself and his film works;Chapter 2 to chapter 4 elaborates Stephen chow’s three films from the perspectives of cinematology,musicology and music aesthetics,analyzes how the music noumenon in the three films is combined with the film images,and obtains Stephen chow’s unique attains in the application of film music by summarizing its techniques.Chapter five discusses the characteristics of Stephen chow’s film music and its influence on thedevelopment of Chinese folk music and the creation of film score.
