A Research On The Relationship Between Parent-child Affinity And Security Of Left-behind Children

Due to the distress of their families,most adults in rural areas choose to go out to work to earn money to support their families,which means they have to leave their children at home.As a result,the phenomenon of rural children being left behind has become more and more prominent,and left-behind children have become the focus of the social's attention.Due to the long-term separation from parents,left-behind children are unable to receive their parents' upbringing and care,and generally lack security.This study will analyze the role of perceived social support and self-efficacy,which is between parent-child affinity and security of the left-behind children.The study adopts the method of questionnaire by using the scales: security of left-behind children scale,parent-child affinity scale,perceived social support scale and general self-efficacy scale as measuring tools.The study conducts a survey among 2400 students from two primary schools,two junior high school,two high school in Xuchang city,and uses data analysis.The following conclusions are drawn:(1)The scores of left-behind children's security in all dimensions are significantly lower than that of non-left-behind children's.That is to say,the level of left-behind children's security is significantly lower than that of non-left-behind children's;(2)There are significant group differences in left-behind children's security;(3)Left-behind children of poor students have a lower security than those of non-poor students.The security level of boys is higher than that of girls.Compared with double left-behind children,single left-behind children have a higher level of security.Left-behind children with high frequency of contact with their parents have a higher level of security than left-behind children with medium frequency and low frequency of contact.The longer the left-behind children stay behind,the lower the security level they feel;(4)The security level of development of left-behind children has carried on the longitudinal comparative research.The higher the grade,the higher security level of left-behind children.And with the rise of the grade,the growth of left-behind children's security level is on the rise;(5)There are significantly correlated relationships between parent-child affinity,perceived social support,self-efficacy and security of left-behind children,and the variables are significantly positively correlated in all dimensions;(6)Left-behind children's perceived social support and self-efficacy play the role of chain mediation in the relationship between parent-child affinity and security,and the chain mediating role is extremely significant.
