The Phonetic Study On Yucheng Dialect

Yucheng belongs to Dezhou City,Shandong Province,and the local speaks Jilu dialect,which is in line with the phonetic characteristics of Xiqi dialect in the west of Shandong.At present,there are not many researches on Yucheng dialect.The published literature on Yucheng dialects can only be seen in the dialect part of Yucheng County Records(1995).Based on the investigation of dialect phonetics in different townships and streets in Yucheng City,this paper obtains the phonetic system of the dialects in the Yucheng City,and describes and analyzes phonetic characteristics of different towns.This paper is divided into six chapters:The first chapter is the introduction,which is divided into four parts.The first part introduces the urban geography,history,and culture etc.of Yucheng City;the second part outlines the current situation of Yucheng dialect phonetic research;the third part introduces the significance and methods of research;the fourth part describes the dialect points and background of speakers.The second chapter introduces the phonetic system of street dialect in Yucheng City.According to the "Dialect Survey Character List",we investigate and record the dialect phonology system and phonetic changes,and compare it with the ancient phonetics to sort out the evolution of dialect phonetics over time.The third chapter is about the internal differences of initials in Yucheng dialect.This chapter discusses the differences between the present and ancient reading of Chinese character structure in Yucheng dialect,such as ancient initials" Zhi,Zhuang,Zhang and Ri ".This paper truthfully records and describes the situation and it is compared with the surrounding counties and "The Phonetic Charm of Central Plains".The fourth chapter is the research on the internal differences of rhyme in Yucheng dialect.This chapter discusses the difference between the present and ancient reading of Yucheng dialect on characters such as the ancient rhyme of "Xie Zhi",the difference between the present and ancient reading of characters such as the ancient entering tone words from "Dang Jiang and Zeng Geng".This paper compares the pronunciation of each town with that of surrounding counties and cities,and compares with "The Phonetic Charm of Central Plains" to explore the causes of phonetic evolution.The fifth chapter is about the internal differences of Yucheng dialect tone.This chapter discusses the phenomenon of voiceless consonant of entering tone which is classified as " Shang" tone in Zhangji Village,Xindian Town,Yucheng City,and describes the single-character tone,the tone change before the flat tone and the tone change of two word phrases.The sixth chapter is the research on the phenomenon of Zi suffix changes in Yucheng City.This chapter sorts out the research status of the last sound changes in Shandong.Hence,it makes a questionnaire and compares the two dialects of Yucheng City Center Street and Hongmiao Zhang Village in Xindian Town.It uses Praat speech analysis software to determine the value of Zi suffix through the waveform chart and the broadband speech chart.
