A Study On The Application Of Mtpe Model In The Evidence Translayion Project

Nowadays,the machine translation and post-editing model has been put into practical use more frequently and becomes an important part of an efficient translation process to improve translation efficiency and guarantee translation quality.This paper discusses the application of the machine translation and post-editing model in the Evidence project,a Chinese-English translation project.This paper summarizes the main limitations of machine translation in this project from two perspectives: terminology and logical coherence.As for the terminology,the errors made by machine include the wrong recognition,inaccurate translation and inconsistencies while unclear referential relations and casual order of information result in the unclear logic in some sentences.This paper provides the corresponding solutions: establishing a term base,choosing terms according to the context,using proper cohesive devices and reorganizing the order of information.Through analyzing the limitations of machine translation and providing post-editing solutions,this paper aims to provide practical post-editing solution for translations in similar projects and make some clues for the future studies of machine translation and post-editing model.
