Research On The "Home" Culture In The Film Of New Generation Chinese Directors In The New Century

In traditional Chinese culture,"home" is a very special social component.Froma small point of view,it is a shelter and necessary support for everyone's survivingand growing,from a large view,it is a necessary component of social development! and progress.Therefore,in the cognition of most Chinese,"home" is not only the safehaven that individual needs,but also the essential part of Chinese traditional culture.As one of the best carriers of propagating and inheriting culture,e film has an unshirkable responsibility for inheriting and expressing "home" culture.In different periods and backgrounds,Chinese film people have always insisted a belif that taking the film as a cultural carrier,but "home" culture into the film to adapt to socialdevelopment needs of different periods.At the same time,with the uprising andmaturity of young-generation directors,the expression of "home" culture in the flim isincreasingly diverse.Compared with Hong Kong,Macao,Chinese new generationdirectors facing a severer impact,and there's tremendous changes during filmcreation.The new generation directors quite different from their predecessors.Theyusually received a systematic and comprehensive film education.In the new century,with China entrying into WTO and almost fully opening of the film market,newgeneration directors are facing more severer pressure than their predecessors.Facingof this situation,new generation directors have much novel thoughts and expressionsof the "home" culture in the film in the coming century.This article chooses four aspects to carry on concrete analysis and research ofthe "home" culture in the new generation director's film of the mainland.First of all,the author has summed up the expression of "home" culture since film entered China,and sorted out the changing process of "home" culture in Chinese movies.Secondly,researching the main object of this paper in three parts.The first part is the analysis ofthe film of the new generation director,seperating realistic movie from Freehand film,and analyzing the different presentation characteristics of "home" culture under thedouble path.The second part divides "home" culture into three different views:"Family","hometown" and "home",and analysing and studying different attitudes of"home" in different view.The third part mainly analyzing the different problems when showing "home"culture in the film of new generation directors,especially facing the pressure of Hollywood and other western movie,Chinese culture and Chinese films are facing a huge challenge.This article focuses on the development of present society,combines tradition and modern,carrys traditional cultural by modern entertainment.In the research,the author tries to find unique creation way of the new generation director,and explores new life of"home" in traditional Chinese culture.
