| Virginia Woolf(January 25,1882-March 28,1941)is a famous British woman writer,a pioneer of feminist movement,and an important founder of modern western feminist literary criticism.Woolf not only describes his own feelings and experiences in his works,but also pays close attention to social reality,especially sensitive to the phenomenon of violence.In his works,Woolf has a deep sense of anti-violence.This paper uses various research perspectives,including literature,history and biography,to reveal Woolf′s protest against violence and his expectation for peace by analyzing Woolf′s feminist ideology of anti-violence consciousness and her reflection on violence.The first part is about biography and historical research,aiming at exploring the important sources of Woolf′s anti-violence consciousness:the influence of the social background at that time,the influence of family environment and the influence of Bloomsbury Group.The second part is the main part of this article,focusing on Woolf′s thoughts on violence.This paper mainly analyses Woolf′s anti-violence works from three aspects:anti-racial violence,anti-war violence and anti-gender violence,and explores Woolf′s protest and opposition to violence from the feminist perspective.Violence is a human evil and a human disaster.The third part explores Woolf′s ways of resisting violence.This paper considers from three aspects:advocating the spirit of fraternity,establishing the feminist value system and conceiving a world of gender cooperation.The fourth part summarizes the main points and conclusions of this paper. |
