Teacher identity,as an important part of teacher education,has been paid more and more attention by the education,and it's particularly important for novice teachers,because it's a crucial period to integrate themselves into the schools,teachers and society to obtain professional development.Besides,novice teachers need to adapt to teaching environment,deal with interpersonal relationships and transform their identity from students to teachers.In recent years the study of teacher identityhas gradually increasedin our country,but the research on junior middle school English novice teachers are relatively less,especially for the novice teachers without normal education background,so this study is based on social identity theory and the theory of self-identity,adopts the method of case study,and selects a junior middle school English novice teacher without normal education background as the research object to explore the identity of the novice teachers.In addition,this study collects data by semi-structured interviews and classroom observation,then it aims to present and discuss the status of English novice teacher identity of junior middle school and influencing factors,and propose strategies to promote the formation and development of the identity of novice teachers.This study finds out that the teacher's self-reflection,practical knowledge,work pressure,teaching belief,interpersonal relationship,school culture,support from the organizational environment and foreign language teaching reform in the social environment are the influencing factors of the identity of novice teachers.Based on this,the author puts forward strategies and suggestions from three dimensions: individual,school and t education departments: firstly,novice teachers should try to become a reflective teacher,learn to adjust themselves to reduce work pressure,pursue professional development and make clear career development plan;secondly,at the school level,the orientation of the school should be clearly defined,and the construction of teaching culture should be strengthened,and induction training program needs be carried out effectively;finally,the ministry of education The ministry of education should fully implement the reform of foreign language teaching and improve the teacher education of new English teachers.
