This article takes the Chinese poetry teaching of the Chinese Department of Cairo University in Egypt as the research object,mainly studies the acquisition of Chinese poetry by senior students in 2018,2019 and 2020.The four aspects of the curriculum setting,curriculum teachers,curriculum materials and teaching methods of Chinese poetry courses Investigate and think.The students' understanding of the course objectives is okay,but both teachers and students believe that the poetry course has not reached the teaching goal,the main reason is that the poetry textbooks used are not good.In addition,many students also believe that Chinese poetry does not help their future working life,which is the main reason why students have emotions about poetry.In order to solve this problem,teachers can come up with some ways to arouse the interest of students,and they can also list different jobs related to Chinese poetry for students.Regarding teachers,the Chinese Department of Cairo University has no specific requirements for the nationality and major of teachers who take poetry classes.Students all think that Chinese poetry classes are better taught by Egyptian teachers,and the major is the best literature.They also think that it is difficult for Chinese teachers to take classes.At present,Egypt lacks relevant information on Chinese poetry,which is the biggest obstacle to the inability of teachers in charge of the Chinese Department of Cairo University to choose the appropriate textbook.The author found that both teachers and students are completely dissatisfied with the textbooks of poetry.The shortcomings of the existing textbooks are as follows:1.The content is not comprehensive,including only modern poetry.2.The textbook lacks some important parts,such as "new word explanation","professional words","professional knowledge","extended reading",“discussion questions","practice questions" and other parts.3.The theme of the psalms is not diverse.Teachers and students generally think that the teaching materials are not suitable for Egyptian students.In terms of the teaching methods of Chinese poetry,most students are satisfied with the two teaching methods of "multimedia method" and "mind mapping method",but they are not interesting enough.Through a questionnaire survey,the author found that Egyptian students are very interested in "introduction of stories","translation of ancient poems","Chinese-Arabic translation","illustration of pictures","accompaniment of soundtrack"and "recitation of poetry".
