The dance drama "red rose and white rose" was modified from Eileen Chang's famous novel of the same name.The core of the dance drama is three groups of relationships: self relationship-real or good person;men and women relationship-equality or hegemony;marriage and love relationship-should or want.For dance drama,the creation of character image is the most important.Meng Yanli in the original works of literature is empty,pure and willing to be subordinate to the patriarchal power.After the reform of dance drama,the white rose is integrated into feminism and endowed with the characteristics of today's era.Using the concepts of psychological " personality" and "interpersonal relationship",the self personality of the white rose is divided into three stages: obedience,distortion and rebellion,including mother daughter,marriage and love.The plot is the history of character growth and development.After absorbing the novel's nutrients,the dance drama reconstructs the plot structure.At the beginning,middle and end,there are three people's Dances: free,entangled and ending.They tell the story between the three people from the third perspective.All the three dances use the core props and settings of the dance drama-"red ribbon" and "White Ribbon",the indistinct ribbon as an image,implies Tong Zhenbao's complex and conflicting feelings with red and white roses.The author combines the practical experience and theoretical research of the original dance drama "red rose and white rose" in order to explain the interpretation and analysis of the image creation of white rose after the literary innovation of dance drama.
