In the new era, international Chinese education is innovating and developing.Language is the bridge of communication. With the in-depth development of multi-polar world, economic globalization, technological information, and cultural diversification,Chinese majors at overseas universities have become the choice of many students. At present, the development of international Chinese education is changing from "heating up" to "acting up".Behind the "Chinese crazy",opportunities and challenges co-exist,how to adapt to local conditions and integrate into the local area, how to train local teachers, and how the current status of Chinese learning for overseas students are issues that need to be addressed to promote the development of the connotation of international Chinese education.University higher education is an important way to develop professional talents.Chinese majors at overseas universities can train international Chinese professionals, such as professional local Chinese teachers, translators, and new sinologists. Therefore, paying attention to the current situation of Chinese language education abroad and the Chinese acquisition of Chinese majors in non-target language environments are important parts of the development and innovation of international Chinese language education. The Czech Republic plays an important role in Central and Eastern European countries. In recent years,China’s economic, cultural, and educational cooperation with the Czech Republic has been continuously strengthened. For Chinese major university students in the non-target language environment of the Czech Republic, apart from classroom learning,extra-curricular Chinese contact plays an important role in students’ second language acquisition.Based on theories of second language acquisition, autonomous learning, and cultural capital, this article aims to present the current situation of extracurricular Chinese exposure of Chinese major university students of the Czech Republic and its influencing factors through empirical research, and then propose practical and practical compensation for the lack of contact suggestions to improve Czech university students ’Chinese level and understanding of Chinese culture, cultivating Czech talents who are proficient in Chinese and Chinese culture, and build bridges for friendly cooperation and common development between China and the Czech Republic. The full text is divided into six chapters as follows:Chapter One:Introduction. This article briefly summarizes the basic background, purpose, and significance of the research carried out in this article. It introduces the basic overview of Chinese majors in Czech universities, and collects and organizes domestic and foreign literature to define the basic concepts.Chapter Two:Theoretical basis and research design. This part introduces the theory of environment and second language acquisition, the theory of input and output, the theory of autonomous learning, and the theory of cultural capital.Based on those theories,it designs and implements descriptions from questionnaires and interviewsChapter Three:Factor analysis of the questionnaire.Taking undergraduates and postgraduates of Chinese majors in the three universities of the Palatsky University,Charles University, and Masaryk University as the sampling frames,a random sampling method was used to finally select the results of 158 students’ questionnaires for analysis.Using SPSS25.0 statistical software, based on descriptive statistical methods, the overall situation of Czech Chinese majors’ extracurricular Chinese contact time and contact frequency is low.In the aspect of factor analysis, based on the mathematical statistical methods of correlation analysis and regression analysis, the influencing factors of the current situation of extracurricular Chinese exposure of Czech Chinese major students were studied from the perspective of individual internal factors, classroom environmental factors, and extracurricular environmental factors.Chapter Four:Factor analysis of the interviews.Using random sampling and snowball sampling methods, one student from each grade of three Czech universities undergraduate and postgraduates was selected as the interview target, and two Chinese teachers who taught Chinese students at the University of Paratsky were invited Conduct semi-structured in-depth interviews based on the outline. It further demonstrates the overall status of Czech Chinese majors’ extracurricular less contact time and low contact frequency. In terms of cause analysis, the results of the questionnaire are further demonstrated and supplemented from three aspects:individual internal reasons, classroom environmental reasons, and extracurricular environmental reasons.Chapter Five:Suggestions.Based on the influencing factors, this paper puts forward feasible suggestions on the insufficient contact of students from extracurricular Chinese from the objective and subjective aspects.Chapter Six:Conclusion. This chapter reviews and summarizes the research process and expectations of the wholeresearch, points out the innovations and deficiencies, and puts forward the prospects for further research in the future. |
