Studies On The Affixes Of Adjectives In Yiyuan Dialect Of Shandong Province

Adjectives are important real words in modern Chinese.The affixes of adjectives are rich and interesting both in the form and the meaning of adjectives.Compared with Putonghua,the affixes of adjectives in Chinese dialects have not only common features in composition and function,but also features that can not be ignored.In this paper,the affixes of adjectives in Yiyuan dialect of Shandong Province are selected as the research object.On the basis of reference to relevant literature and field investigation,the adjectives composed of affixes in Yiyuan dialect are widely collected.According to the position of affixes in the adjectives and the standard of the number of syllable affixes,the affixes of adjectives in Yiyuan dialect are divided into three types:monosyllabic prefix,monosyllabic suffix and polysyllabic suffix Sound suffix class.On this basis,we describe the word formation forms and ideographic features of adjectives formed by these three kinds of affixes.It is worth noting that we find that the monosyllabic suffix of adjectives has the ability of cross class word formation,which can be used as both adjective suffix and noun and verb suffix.We have a deep discussion on this.Under the guidance of the combination of semantics,pragmatics and syntax,this paper analyzes the semantic features of three kinds of adjective affixes in Yiyuan dialect,summarizes their syntactic functions,and describes the pragmatic effects of adjective affixes in combination with context.The paper also selects some of the most representative adjective affixes in Yiyuan dialect to explore their grammaticalization process.
