The Study Of Fang Ruhao's Novels

Fang Ruhao lived in the late Ming Dynasty,He has created three novels: The Rumored Anecdotes of Chan Zhen,The Later Rumored Anecdotes of Chan Zhen and Dong Du Ji.The first two novels mainly expound the theme of "Zen truth",which not only reveals the secularization of the late Ming Dynasty,but also conveys the author's ideal of saving the world of Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism.The latter "Dong Du ji" has obvious propaganda color,though the character plot is set for propaganda,it has distinct art.Although the themes of the three works are different,they are consistent in secularization writing,loyalty and filial piety exhortation,and theme synthesis,and they are the forerunners of cross type novels.Generally speaking,the three works are not only the embodiment of Fang Ruhao's ideal personality,but also the epitome of the society in the late Ming Dynasty.The thesis is divided into four parts:Part I: Combing Fang Ruhao's works.On the basis of a systematic review of modern scholars' research on Fang Ruhao and his works,this paper clarifies the existing versions and contents of The Rumored Anecdotes of Chan Zhen,The Later Rumored Anecdotes of Chan Zhen and Dong Du Ji,laying a foundation for subsequent research.Part II: A study of the novel thought of "Zen truth".Fang Ruhao's "Zen truth" novels not only have social cognition,but also embody the writer's ideology.The social epistemology is to reflect the social and human feelings at that time by revealing the secularization of the late Ming Dynasty.The author's ideal type hopes to achieve the goal of saving the world through the integration of Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism.Part III: A study of the art of "Chan Zhen" novels.The artistic achievements of "Chan Zhen" novels are mainly reflected in the comprehensive theme.On the basis of inheriting the previous themes,there are new ideas.Inheritance is reflected in the reference to historical romance,heroic legends,gods and Demons and the structure,plot and characters of the novels of the world,The creative ideas are shown in the development of writing methods: History aggravates the fictional elements,the figures are elegant and have both,the fantasy writing of gods and Demons increases,and the description of the world is more diversified.Part IIII: A study on the propaganda color and value of dongduji.In order to meet the needs of propaganda,dongduji made a religious transformation of the image of Dharma.Fang Ruhao's propaganda has the value of social cognition,which is mainly manifested in the extensive disclosure of the late Ming Dynasty,the promotion of the concept of loyalty and filial piety,and the ideal of the unity of three religions.In terms of writing method,it has obvious characteristics,which are embodied in the demonization of emptiness,the tagging of names,and the struggle between good and evil mainly based on reasoning.
