| Qi’ s Family Against Japanese Aggressors was published in 2015.As a documentary writing,it describes soldiers and civilians who resisted Japanese aggressors in Shanxi province during the Anti-Japanese War(1937-1945)and it contains a strong regional characteristic.With the help of personal interviews and the diaries of the protagonists,the author of the source text describes the real events that happened during the Anti-Japanese War.There are many culture-loaded words in this book,the author of this report applies some translation strategies to translation practice for the appropriate expression,such as,the literal translation,liberal translation,annotation,transliteration,amplification and omission.This report focus on describing the translation difficulties and strategies for culture-loaded words in translation and proofreading process.The author hopes that this report will provide a reference for the translation of similar target texts and promote the cultural communication between China and Western countries.The author divides this report into five parts.Chapter one is the introduction,including main content and translation value of Qi’ s Family Against Japanese Aggressors.Chapter two describes the translation process,including pre-translation,in-translation and post-translation.Chapter three is the introduction to Skopos Theory and the three important rules.Chapter four is case analysis.The author introduces the definition and classification of culture-loaded words,analyzes and illustrates the relevant examples based on three important rule of Skopos Theory.Finally,the author summaries the whole report and points out its limitations in Chapter five. |
