Action Research On Practicing Grammar In Korea CI Comprehensive Chinese Classroom

So far,23 Confucius institutes have opened in South Korea,and Chinese classes have been set up in various high schools and primary schools.For Korean students,Chinese proficiency is one of the conditions to find a job,and learning Chinese well is one of the learning goals.Hanwai university has become the first model Confucius institute in Korea.However,in recent years,compared with the previous years,there has been a problem of losing students.The author from their own teaching process to find the reason,found that the Korean students learning attitude is correct,but the teacher does not know a student to answer the question,the classroom silence more time;With teachers’ guidance and hints,students take turns to call the roll and participate more in class.When volunteer teachers teach for the first time,they have limited teaching experience,limited use of classroom time,and limited ability to organize students’ practice,resulting in poor teaching effect.With the goal of improving teaching quality and solving practical problems,the author takes action research as the framework and two intermediate classes of hanwai university as the objects to practice grammar by using "Middlebury language-teaching mode" and studying this process.This paper consists of two rounds of action research and three teaching stages,lasting 12 weeks.The data and contents of the study are teacher’s classroom observation,class recording,student interview and teacher’s diary.In the first teaching stage,the author practiced grammar in the ordinary way.The ordinary way means that the author used his own accumulated teaching experience to teach,without referring to or adopting any other way of practicing.In the first stage,the author found the following problems through the common way of practice:students open less often,students take a small proportion of class time,teachers open more often and tend to make long explanations,resulting in low utilization rate of class time,students’ interest in learning does not last long.Into the second stage of teaching,the author draw lessons from and use " Middlebury language-teaching mode " way of practice,the way that the maximum and the characteristics of the core is led by teachers,students antiphonal singing,chorus,chorus of teachers and students so that repeated practice to reach the effect of memory,the author put the combination of different methods for the experiment using A combination of exercise 1 class A,the experiment using A combination of practice 2 B class;Through classroom reco-rding and actual classroom observation,this paper compares the out-put of teachers in stage 1 and stage 2,the proportion of teachers’ and students’ time,classroom atmosphere,teachers’ error correction and stage performance.The mode of grammar practice can improve the learning effect of foreign language learners.Then the second action study was carried out.In this action study,the core of repeated drills in class AB was not changed,and it also explored the advantages and disadvantages of different drill methods through the comparison of teachers’ output amount of discourse,the proportion of teachers’ and students’ time,classroom atmosphere,teachers’error correction and stage performance.This action study is the first attempt of Chinese volunteer teachers to learn from and use " Middlebury language-teaching mode " in overseas Chinese teaching.This paper is divided into six chapters.The first chapter discusses the research background,the reason of the topic and the significance of the research.The second chapter introduces the Middlebury language-teaching mode,including its definition and the characteristics,the grammar practice under the mode and the psychological basis of the grammar practice under the mode.Chapter three:introduces the general situation of action research and research design.Chapter four:the first round of experimental research.Chapter 5:the second round of action research.Chapter six:conclusion:summarize the overall situation of action research,and finally put forward the shortcomings of this paper and the expectation of future research.
