| The internet technology revolution has made the network media permeate into the public life in an all-round way, people’s spiritual consumption demands are becoming more and more diverse. With the help of new media, various sub-cultural phenomena on the edge of mass culture have gradually entered the public’s vision in a popular form,Doujin culture is one of them.In order to accurately depict the latest characteristics of Doujin culture in China’s cyberspace, this dissertation focuses on the cultural practice of the domestic film Operation Red Sea’s Doujin group in view of the youth subculture theory, uses the method of virtual ethnography to investigate their social behavior and text content to analyze the style of the resistance as well as its causes and discuss the relationship between Doujin culture and the dominant culture. The dissertation analyzes the social practice of the Operation Red Sea’s Doujin hobbyists from the behavioral level at first, and explores how they choose the original symbols and media tools,as well as their identity construction from individual to group. The emergence of Doujin interaction requires symbolic objects from which the Doujin subjects can identify themselves and new media scenarios that are conducive to fostering heterogeneous cultures. They confirm themselves in the interaction inside and outside their group, acquire the cultural identity different from others and strengthen the identity of the group they belong to.Then analyzes the discourse practice of the Operation Red Sea’s Doujin works from the content level of the text, explores the logic of their meaning production and value output from the dimensions of text, discourse and society. The deconstructive emotional rhetoric and anti-traditional homosexual fantasy in the Doujin works load the group members’ emotional desire, the participatory multi-center creation and intertextual text distribution make the production and consumption of texts a ritual of cultural sharing, the essence of elite worship and the color of realistic literature make their texts play the role of cultural criticism. Finally summarizes the self-discipline and "noise" aesthetic style of the Operation Red Sea’s Doujin group in their cultural practice, and explains the reasons for their ritualized resistance based on the self-narration of the group members: relying on the pure relationships in social practice and the spiritual expressions in discourse practice to alleviate identity crisis, carry out affirmative practice and resist consumer culture. The Doujin culture in China’s Cyberspace at present is a youth sub-culture dominated by women and characterized by " post-figurative",rectifying each other’s deviations with the dominant culture.Although Doujin art’s tiny resistance does not have the revolutionary power to arouse the realistic social movement,it at least redraws the moral outline and tolerance boundary of the society implicitly from the bottom to the top in the pleasure of cultural consumption, which has practical significance beyond the level of symbols. |
