junior high school is an important period for the development of self-love.The cultivation of self-love quality is conducive to the good psychological quality of junior high school students and the formation of a sound personality.Junior high school students’ self-love includes both physical and psychological aspects,physiological concerns and love for their own life safety and physical health;acceptance of self on the psychological level,affirmation and self-improvement of their own values and abilities.In the past,the research on self-love of junior high school students was mostly theoretical discussion.Without quantitative research,this study revised and formed the "Self-love Questionnaire for Junior Middle School Students" and discussed the status of self-love of junior high school students and their relationship with pro-social behavior and parenting style.This study used a combination of quantification and quality analysis to study four parts.The study first used the qualitative research method to conduct a self-love questionnaire survey of 70 junior high school students in a middle school in Yunnan Province,and then used the quantitative research method to conduct a self-love prediction questionnaire for 450 junior high school students in two middle schools in Yunnan Province through convenient sampling.After project analysis and exploratory factor analysis,a total of 1,200 junior high school students from five middle schools in Yunnan Province(the subjects to be tested and self-love prediction questionnaires are not duplicated)were tested and revised.The Junior High School Students Self-Love Questionnaire and Simple Parental Parenting Style Questionnaire(s-EMBU-C)and Pro-social Behavioral Psychological Questionnaire(PTM)received1089 valid questionnaires,and 450 validated factor analysis and reliability and validity tests were conducted from the valid questionnaires.The second and third studies using quantitative research method,based on the collected 1089 valid questionnaires,analyzed and discussed the relationship between the self-love status and characteristics of junior high school students,the self-love and pro-social behavior of junior high school students,and parenting styles.Using the qualitative research method,30 junior high school students were interviewed to enrich the research results of junior high school students’ self-love.This study draws the following conclusions:(1)Junior high school students’ self-love is a four-factor structure,including:self-care,self-acceptance,self-improvement,self-affirmation.The "Junior High School Students Self-love Questionnaire" has good reliability and validity,and can effectively measure the self-love situation of junior high school students.(2)The junior high school students have a good self-love level,among which the self-care dimension has the highest score and the self-acceptance dimension has the lowest score.(3)There is no significant difference between junior high school students’ self-love in gender,whether they are only children,and different ethnic groups.(4)There is a significant difference in the self-love of junior high school students and most of their dimensions in grade,source of origin,student cadre,monthly household income,and parental marital status.The self-love level of junior high school students is significantly higher than that of junior high school and junior high school students.The self-love level of junior high school students from urban areas is significantly higher than that of junior high school students from rural areas.The self-love level of junior high school students is higher than that of non-student cadres junior high school students.The self-love level of junior high school students with an average income of 5,000 yuan or more is significantly higher than that of junior high school students whose monthly average income is 5,000 yuan or less.The marital status of parents is that the junior high school students’ first-time self-love level is significantly higher than the junior high school students whose parents’ marital status is divorced and remarried.(5)In the parenting style of junior high school students,the parental emotional warming style has the highest score,and the parental rejection style has the lowest score.The total score of pro-social behavior of junior high school students is at the upper-middle level,among which the urgent pro-social behavior scores the highest,and the anonymous pro-social behavior scores the lowest.(6)The total score of junior high school students’ self-love and its various dimensions are significantly positively correlated with the parental emotional warming style.There is a significant negative correlation between self-love total score,self-acceptance and parental rejection,and father’s over-protective parenting style.Self-improvement and mother-rejected parenting style,self-acceptance and mother over-protective parenting style are significantly negatively correlated.Parents’ emotional warmth has a significant positive predictive effect on junior high schoolstudents’ self-love,and the mother refuses to have a significant negative predictive effect on junior high school students’ self-love.(7)The scores of self-love total score,self-care,self-affirmation and self-improvement of junior high school students were significantly positively correlated with pro-social behavior and their scores.The self-acceptance and anonymous pro-social behavior were significantly negatively correlated.Self-love of junior high school students has a significant positive predictive effect on pro-social behavior.Self-care and self-improvement have a significant positive predictive effect on the pro-social behavior of junior high school students.Self-acceptance has a significant negative predictive effect on the pro-social behavior of junior high school students.(8)Junior high school students’ self-love plays a
