The Bronze Inscription of Wu and Yue Culture(WYC)mainly refers to the inscriptions carved on bronze ware by the people of the states in the WYC(the people in this paper mainly includes the states of Wu,Yue,Xu and Zhongli).It includes two aspects: in terms of time longitudinal,it has witnessed the history from King Cheng in Western Zhou Dynasty to Wu Jiang(? Jian?),the King of Yue,who was defeated by the King of Chu;In terms of content itself,it includes both the true inscriptions on the bronze wares of WYC and the inscriptions that can be presumed to be those of WYC from their sites and styles as well as the shapes of bronze wares.This paper lists380 bronze ware of WYC that have been published so far,and shows an historical record index of the Bronze Inscription of WYC,all of these will contribute to presenting the world a more comprehensive historical record of the Bronze Inscription of WYC.This thesis consists of three parts.The first part is an introduction,which mainly introduces the connotation of Wu and Yue Culture;The research purpose,the framework and the research methods of this paper;And the present researches on Bronze Inscription of WYCThe second one involves the arrangement and the research on the BronzeInscription of WYC,which can be divided into five categories---the researches on the inscriptions of the States of Wu,Yue,Xu,and Zhongli and on the inscriptions of suspect.The last part is the historical records index of the Bronze Inscription of WYC,which mainly collects and arranges the historical records seen in the Bronze Inscription of WYC,and an index table is made on the basis of the historical records.
