This paper mainly studies the refugee films nominated by the three major European film festivals in recent years.Since 2015,wave after wave of refugees have flooded into Europe, bringing unprecedented challenges to Europe and forming the most serious refugee crisis since the end of World War II.Throughout the nominations of the three major film festivals after 2015,whether the documentary Oltre Lampedusa or the drama Dheepan, the movie text all constructs the imaginary community on the real foundation. In the process of leaping from country to country, the marginal experience of refugee groups is reproduced,to explore the philosophical propositions about life and love.As a theoretical framework, the first chapter of this paper briefly describes the definition of refugee by studying the refugee law,and analyzes the causes and effects of the refugee wave in Europe based on the refugee film texts after the outbreak of refugee wave in Europe in 2015.The second chapter is a study on the relationship between the three major European film festivals and nominated refugee films, summarizes the preferences, award settings and feature positioning of the three major European film festivals, and discusses the cross-cultural value construction of the three major European film festivals and the "festival value" of refugee films. The third chapter mainly analyzes the discrete narration and the discrete identity construction of refugee films.Discrete groups are the main body of refugee films, and each refugee is one of them. They actively overcome homesickness, adapt to European culture while preserving their ethnic identity, and find their identity in a "foreign land".The fourth chapter is an extension of the third chapter. The first problem faced by the discrete groups in seeking for identity is ethnic and cultural conflict, which is a "discrete crisis".The fourth chapter analyzes the marginal voices and imagination of the discursive people under this "discrete crisis" through the interpretation of images.Chapter five mainly discusses the image aesthetics of refugee films from the perspective of lens language.Artists must give up the neutrality and openness of art, give way to moral standpoint, respect the suffering of the straggles, and restore the authenticity of refugee life. With the outbreak of the refugee crisis, the trend of refugee films in the past decade is no longer blindly heavy and depressing, but a more relaxed, relatively tolerant and positive attitude towards the interweaving and collision of different cultures in a more relaxed multicultural context.
