Shi Lu was one of the most innovative painters in the 20 th century.He devoted h is whole life to the exploration of New Chinese Painting.The freehand brushwork spi rit was embodied in his artistic practice and painting thoughts,and influenced the pain ting circles of later ages.This paper studies Shi Lu freehand brushwork painting,and analyzes its style origin from the three stages of the evolution of Shi Lu's painting wit h time as the main line.The first chapter introduces the social background of Shi Lu's artistic life and arti stic style,and divides them into three stages: realistic,freehand and capital,The three stages of Shi Lu involved in artistic creation,artistic style and other related content an d development process.The second chapter studies the characteristics of Shi Lu's wor ks in the period of realistic writing,and analyzes the basis of style staging according t o its characteristics.The third chapter studies the expression language,skills,theories and artistic conception of Shi Lu's freehand brushwork in the period of freehand brus hwork and his pursuit of the artistic conception of poetry.The fourth chapter studies t he works created under the guidance of the theory of "creation by god" in the period o f Shi Lu's capitals,and analyses the literati's feelings and spiritual appeal which come from the traditional pen and ink in his works.The fifth chapter reveals the positive inf luence of Shi Lu's freehand brushwork on the later painting circles,and introduces the skill of Shi Shi Lu and several painters influenced by his artistic spirit.Shi Lu is not only an artist,but also an excellent theoretician.His painting thoug ht not only influences his painting style,but also has important meaning to the develo pment and application of traditional painting theory in modern times.Throughout his life,he explored his ideal of "Chinese style".His works are the combination of nation al characteristics,the spirit of the times and the spirit of the individual,which is one o f the examples of the transformation from traditional Chinese painting to modern time s.Shi Lu freehand brushwork painting is the inheritance of the spirit of traditional Chi nese painting.This paper analyzes the positive influence of Shi Lu on contemporaryChinese painting from his painting thought to his painting style,in order to enlighten t he present artistic creation.
