Study On The Wu-Yue Hegemony Story In The Pre-Qin And Han Dynasty

The struggle for hegemony between big powers was a remarkable social phenomenon in the Spring and Autumn Period.The decades-long war between Wu and Yue was one of the well-known stories of hegemony.From the existing literature,the story of "Wu-Yue Struggling for Hegemony" experienced the process of "emergence-development-basic stereotype" in the pre-Qin and Han Dynasty,and there were different developments in different periods.Basing on the texts review from the pre-Qin to Han Dynasty,the differences of the content of the stories in different texts can be compared.Also,the development of the story in different stages,the reasons for the evolution of the story and the evolution of some of the main characters can be explored.This article is divided into four chapters to discuss the development and evolution of the story of " Wu-Yue Struggling for Hegemony " in the pre-Qin and Han Dynasty: The content of the stories of " Wu-Yue striving for hegemony " recorded in the texts of pre-Qin to Han Dynasty is sorted out in the first chapter.It is found that the stories in Zuozhuan,Guoyu and Yuegongqishi are characterized by simple plots and incomplete content.Moreover,the books of the pre-Qin ideologists have much content that is not included in historical books,which provides new materials for later generations.However,these ideologists tended to distort facts when they narrated the story.The content of the stories recorded in the documents of the Han Dynasty is arranged in the second chapter.Firstly,as can be seen,the story has been presented more concretely and completely in Shiji,and the image characteristics of some main characters have undergone a major change in it.Secondly,the story is basically finalized in Yuejueshu and Wuyuechunqiu.The story adds a lot of experience,myths and legends with the characteristics of the times and regional environment,which shows the trend of the merging of story history and legend.Based on the first two chapters,the writer analyze the reasons for the development and evolution of the story in the pre-Qin to Han Dynasty in the third chapter.The writer think that the complex process of the early texts,the creative environment and the creative subject allcontribute to the evolution of the story.Chapter IV is an analysis of the development and evolution of the main characters in the story,focused on the dual opposition tendency of the image evolution of Fuchai,Goujian,Wu Zixu and Pi from the pre-Qin to Han Dynasty.The writer believe that the tendency is related to the traditional evaluation criteria of "heroes based on success or failure" and the historical concept of loyalty and treason.
