Wojciech Has is one of the most important founders of the Lodz Film School. He has taught at the Lodz Film School for decades. Many of today's Polish directors and professors at the Lodz Film School were his students. He is a rare director in Polish films who refuses to be politically superior to the artistic quality of his works. His films has extremely personal and stylized features. It is self-evident that his character is of great importance in the history of Polish film.Bunuel once praised Has' s film: Saragossa Manuscript, saying that he had seen the film three times(highly praised for Bunuel)and helped Has' s film distribute in Mexico. However,in the history of world cinema or the writing of Polish film history,Haas is "aphasia".He has not left a strong color in the history of world cinema, nor has he become a Polish national film like Wajda and Munk.Synonymous, his film does not have the "Polish" character, the mainstream socialist realism image style does not exist in his creation,he is a formalist. Most of his films are dedicated to exploring the ways of presenting images of time and space, dreams and reality. His creation provides more possibilities for the artistic style of films. In recent years,Martin Scorsese(who helped distribute haas' s films on blu-ray)and others have been highly praised,as well as some reviews of Hass films, the talent of directors has gradually come to the surface for the world to know. This paper investigates Wojciech Has' s films from the perspective of post-modernism,and explores the director's image style by grasping the key words of post-modernism in his films: indeterminacy, gamification and immanence. The first chapter summarizes Has' s life and creative process, and comprehensively elaborates the social and historical background of Poland?the censorship system of Polish films?the director's own experience and the director's film concept. The second chapter explores the uncertainties in his films from the anti-logic of the narrative mode, the uncertainty of the environment and the ambiguity of the image time;the third chapter explores the strong game-like characteristics of his films from the maze-like narrative strategy, the decline of grand narrative, collage and miscellaneous artistic means;and the last chapter directly points Has' s film to the intrinsic characteristics of postmodernity from the lack of depth, ruins, exile characteristics.Features directly point Has' s films to the intrinsic characteristics of post-modern.Has' s films enrich the connotation of films and bring more possibilities for the creation of films. At the same time, his film has opened a new perspective for us to study Polish and Eastern Europe cinema.-A purely perceptual perspective that is different from national and political ideology.
