| The Pao Ge organization has existed in Sichuan for more than 100 years.It used to be a huge social potential.Especially after the Revolution of 1911,the development of Pao Ge’s organization has moved towards an open and semi-open situation.Sichuan Pao Ge exists in all social strata in Sichuan.No matter in cities or villages,all walks of life,from warlords,local bureaucrats,landlords to tenant workers,are permeated by Pao Ge.Such an organization,which exists universally in Sichuan society,has a great influence on the construction of local society in Sichuan.The positive and negative effects brought by this organization in different periods also show the historical changes and development of Sichuan society.From the Late Ming Dynasty to the Early Qing Dynasty to the Founding of New China,the existence of Pao Ge was not only the product of Sichuan regional culture nourishment,but also an important part of Sichuan regional culture,which had considerable influence on Sichuan people,including Sichuan writers.The writing of Pao Ge’s image is an element that can not be ignored in Sichuan writers’ works.Pao Ge’s language,behavior norms and value standards have almost become the generalization and typical embodiment of Sichuan folk customs.This paper is divided into three parts:The first chapter is to clarify the context of Sichuan regional culture and Pao Ge culture.Firstly,it explains the local characteristics of Sichuan region from the perspective of geographical environment and historical environment,and introduces how Pao Ge developed and grew under such soil,and how it influenced the cultural expression and literary imagination of Sichuan writers.Chapter two mainly takes Li Jieren,Sha Ting and Ke Fei’s local novels as the main analysis text,and some contemporary writers’ narrative of Pao Ge as the reference to classify and interpret the image of Pao Ge.This paper analyses the image of Pao Ge from different authors and different times,and expounds the changes of a typical image in the process of literature development.Chapter three,starting from the image of Pao Ge as a symbol of Sichuan regional culture,discusses the local writing accompanied by the emergence of this special historical group in the novel,which embodies the aesthetic effect and literary value. |
