The Research Of The Tathāgata-garbha Sutra

As an early tathāgata-garbha classic,The Tathāgata-garbha Sutra first proposed the idea that tathāgata-garbha in everyone’s soul.which has a profound influence on the late tathāgata-garbha classics.Now,comparing and analyzing the two existing chinese version of The Tathāgata-garbha Sutra and interprets the nine metaphors of the scriptures in conjunction with Buddha-dhātu Abhidharma-pitiaka.And it focuses on the analysis of the meaning of tathāgata-garbha in the evolution process of the classics of sutra,in order to distinguish the controversial issue of the materialization of tathāgata-garbha.The tathāgata-garbha is different from brahma,it is not an existing entity.The tathāgata-garbha is developed on the basis of “no self”.The proposal was made to facilitate the introduction of the layman.When discussing the important concepts in the Tathāgata-garbha Sutra,it is divided into four parts: the first part is the origins and differences between tathāgata-garbha and brahma;the second is discussing about tathāgata-garbha and nir-ātman;and third is the connection and difference between tathāgata and dharma-kāya;the fourth is the connection and development of the thoughts of tathāgata-garbha,dharma-dhātu and buddha-dhātu.The Tathāgata-garbha Sutra is closely related to the Hua Yan sutra,the tathāgata-garbha thoughts are also reflected in the form of metaphor in the Hua Yan sutra.The Tathāgata-garbha Sutra has a profound influence on china,the chinese monks always use the thoughts of buddha-dhātu in everyone’s soul to their stand point.
